Katni, Rain has affected the life of people in Khirwa village under Gram Panchayat Saraswahi Tola of Katni district. The main road of the village has turned into mud for about 3 kilometers, due to which villagers and school children are facing a lot of trouble.

Due to continuous rain, the roads of Khirwa have turned into mud and swamp. Villagers say that children are facing a lot of difficulties in reaching school. Incidents of falling and getting injured due to slippery roads are coming to the fore every day. Villagers alleged that huge irregularities have been done in road construction. Inferior soil was put in place of gravel, due to which the road gave up in the first rain itself. This has not only disrupted traffic, but people are also angry with the administration. Villagers have demanded that the road be repaired soon and action be taken against the responsible contractors. They say that if attention is not paid in time, then this road can prove to be fatal during the entire rainy season. When Katni SDM Pradeep Mishra was talked to in this entire matter, he said that an investigation will be conducted in the matter of the road built in the village before the rains and if negligence is found in the road construction, action will be taken against the person who has been negligent and the road of the village will be constructed.
