Katni, Katni Private school operators and teachers today stopped teaching work in schools for one day and declared holidays.
New rules were implemented on private schools in which a memorandum was submitted to the Collector in the name of the Chief Minister to abolish recognition and registered lease under RTE.
They say that the requirement of registered lease, security deposit and recognition fee for the recognition of primary and secondary classes should be relaxed for the operators.
1. The requirement of registered lease should be abolished and notarized lease or any other lease should be accepted.
2. The requirement of security deposit amount should be abolished.
3. Recognition fee should be abolished.
4. The remaining payment of RTE children should be made soon.
Otherwise, it is not possible to fulfill the above mentioned points for many small schools of the state which are being run for the last several years.
All these points have been made in the demand letter to the Chief Minister and if their demands are not met soon, then there will be a movement at the state level.
On one hand, the government talks about compulsory education and right to education, while on the other hand it is making the rules for these private schools strict and complicated, due to which the talk of right to education may become meaningless.
Today, hundreds of members of private schools reached the Collector's office and submitted their complaint to the Collector through a demand letter.
