Katni, Senior leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party of Katni district, while addressing the press conference organized at BJP office, strongly attacked TMC chief and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee for contempt of the decision of Calcutta High Court regarding cancellation of backward class certificates. Also, citing the statement of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, exposed the anti-Dalit and anti-backward character of Congress.

Addressing the press conference, District President Deepak Tandon Soni said that appeasement is the diet and fertilizer of parties like Congress and TMC and without appeasement these parties cannot survive even for a day. It is not at all fair to snatch OBC reservation and give it to a particular class just for your vote bank. The Calcutta High Court has slapped Mamata Banerjee's vote bank politics in West Bengal and decided to cancel all OBC certificates issued after 2010. State Vice President of Pichhra Morcha, Suresh Soni said that as soon as Mamata Banerjee came to power, she started playing vote bank politics and issued OBC certificates to Bangladeshis and Rohingyas, included 118 castes in OBC without following any rules and issued OBC certificates to minorities as well. The Calcutta High Court has called it unconstitutional and decided to cancel it.
