Damoh, Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan will be run on a large scale in the district on 9th and 25th of every month so that not a single pregnant woman is left out who has not received examination and treatment. This will be a big step towards reducing maternal mortality rate in the district. Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar, while giving information in this regard, said that it is one of the top priorities of the state government and the district administration, which aims to reduce maternal mortality rate. He said that pregnant mothers should be treated and examined regularly, high risk pregnant mothers should be identified and they should get timely treatment and medicines. Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar said that keeping all this in mind, as per the instructions of the government, a big campaign will be run on two campaign days on 9th and 25th of every month.

Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar said that the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan will be done on a very large scale by the district administration, a new system has been made, on the 9th and 25th of every month, this campaign will be run simultaneously in all the nine health centers of the district which include the district hospital, community health center, urban health center. Here the Asha mobilizers will bring pregnant women and the CHO will identify the pregnant women. He said that efforts have been made to ensure that in all the 9 health centers, adequate seating arrangements are made for women, arrangements for clean drinking water, fans-coolers, breakfast-fruits. All these basic facilities will be provided in a systematic manner. Apart from this, the services of private gynecologists are being provided wherever required, so that there is no adverse effect on the examination of women anywhere and there must be a gynecologist at each of the 9 health centers.

He said that in this campaign all the laboratory tests of the women will also be done, tests will be conducted, after the test the doctor will give his prescription, after the test will also give their medical advice, medicines will also be distributed from there. This campaign is being done on a large scale. From the coming 25th, full preparations have been done for this under the special direction of the state government and also at the district level and efforts will be made to run it in a systematic manner.
