This decision of the apex court has made it completely clear that elderly parents will have to be maintained under all circumstances. Leaving them on their own will be very costly. This decision of the Supreme Court is historic and very important in itself. The Supreme Court has clearly stated in its decision that if the children fail to take care of their parents, then the property and gifts given by the parents to them can be cancelled under the Welfare of the Parents and Senior Citizens Act. The Supreme Court recently gave a very important decision regarding the elderly. The elderly are going to benefit a lot from this. After this decision, there is hope that the children will take care of their elderly parents and treat them well.
