Patna, Bihar is going to have assembly elections next year. Before that, the work of providing employment to people is going on by the state government. In this series, in view of the assembly elections, the exercise of filling the vacant posts in the departments is going on in full swing. Different departments are busy assessing the vacant posts in their departments.

The departments are trying to make appointments on as many vacant posts as possible before the elections. In this series, the Building Construction Department has sought details of employees appointed on contract and from external sources under the administration of the department.

According to the information, a letter has been sent to all the superintending engineers by the Deputy Secretary of the Building Construction Department, Shiv Ranjan. In which it has been said that the data related to employees employed on contract and from external sources from 2005 till now should be provided to the department within three days in any case. The department has said that the said information should be provided to the department through e-mail within three days, while it should be provided to the department in physical form by 13 November.
The department has also issued a format for its letter in which the desired information will have to be provided by filling it. In the format, separate information of the workers employed in unreserved posts, scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, extremely backward class, backward class category will have to be given. This information will be annual. For example, how many were employed between 2005 and 2006. After this, this sequence will increase annually.
Here, the Chief Secretary of the state is regularly holding review meetings with the departments to speed up the development work of the state. After assuming the post of Chief Secretary, he has decided to review the schemes every Monday in his first meeting with the officials. Now a minor change has been made in the agenda to be taken in the pre-announced meeting.
According to the information received from the Building Construction Department, in the meeting to be held every Monday, the Chief Secretary will first take the progress report of the plan expenditure and review it. After this, the funds received as central share and revenue collection will be reviewed. The government has placed appointments on the third level. During the review, the Chief Secretary will take information from the departments about the vacant posts and the efforts being made to fill the posts and will issue necessary guidelines.
