Dhar, Shardiya Navratri, the festival of worship of Mother Shakti, is going to start from 15th October. Shardiya Navratri festival is a symbol of faith for the Hindu society and is one of the biggest festivals. In this festival, along with the worship of Mother Shakti, there is also pomp and show of Garbas. For this, Garba pandals are attractively decorated by public Navdurga Utsav committees. In this, every time the necessary repair work of Garba Pandals has been done by the Municipality. But this time due to lack of budget, the Municipal Corporation is shying away from this important work. Eight days are left for Navratri festival. But no one has paid attention to this. Due to this, Shakti Swarupas will have to face trouble during times of poverty.

On Saturday, Leader of Opposition in the Municipality and Youth Congress District President Karim Qureshi has applied to Collector Priyank Mishra for the repair and necessary works of Garba Pandals. In this application, a demand has been made to repair the Garba pandals and do the necessary work on time. He told in the application that for the last many years, the repair work of Garba pandals has been getting done by the Municipality Dhar. This time too, an application regarding repairs has been given to the Municipality Dhar by the public Navdurga Utsav committees. But this time the council is shying away from this work due to lack of budget. But Qureshi has demanded that the council should get this work done on priority basis. There has also been a demand for cleanliness and lighting arrangements.
