Panna, MNREGA, i.e. Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Scheme, is the ambitious employment scheme of the government under which there is talk of preventing labor migration and development of villages by providing employment to the workers in the villages itself, but if the ground reality is taken into consideration. So this MNREGA scheme in the district has become just an arbitrary scheme, the Sarpanch Secretary, Deputy Engineer and top officials make fake attendance and Bill Boucher continuously embezzle the government's money by getting the work done through machines.
The latest case has come to light from Sarra Gram Panchayat under Shahnagar District Panchayat, where currently more than half a dozen percolation tanks worth about Rs 8 to 10 lakh along with works worth lakhs have been approved, which have to be done by laborers but Shahnagar District The officers and employees of the Panchayat are so fearless and free from fear that by keeping the rules and regulations of the government in mind, they are mishandling the amount worth lakhs in about 25 to 30 hours by running the JCB machines in a vicious manner in the dark nights, but also the dark deeds of the dark nights. They always leave their mark. When our team reached the spot on the information of the villagers, we found clear marks of the teeth and runner of the JCB machine in the percolation tank Bah Haar Jamda and Jhiriya Harishchandra of the currently operational site of Sarra Gram Panchayat.
Not only this, the Sarpanch Secretary and Deputy Engineer are also using third class stones for their pitching, many of the workers themselves have confessed to the media that they have collected and brought them from here and there, whose fake bills will later be raised by the stone quarries. And the entire amount will be taken away, many other such works have been done in the Panchayat in the past years, which have now become mere showpieces, the Deputy Engineers, who are in charge of about a dozen Panchayats, are setting up in the district and bring in work worth lakhs of crores. And the Sarpanch Secretary implements them, due to being remote plateau forest areas, the district level officers are not able to come to these areas, and the district officers take commission and pass the bill.
