Maihar, On November 15, an unidentified decapitated body was found in village Karhi of Amarpatan tehsil of Maihar district, which was identified within just 6 hours as a youth resident of Rewa district on the basis of clothes. On which investigation was started and the head of the deceased was searched. The incident site was inspected by FSL team and searching was done by dog squad. To identify the dead body, information was given to nearby police stations and publicity was spread through social media. The dead body was identified by the relatives of the deceased as Shailendra Tiwari, father Ram Bahor Tiwari, age 23 years, resident of Jeruka police station, Chorhata district, Rewa. On analysis of information received from family members, physical evidence obtained from the spot, local intelligence gathering and technical input received from Cyber Cell Satna, it was found that on 15.11.2023, Krishnanand alias Rajol Saket, after murdering the deceased, had fled to Surat, Gujarat and was arrested. A team was sent under the immediate leadership of Sub Inspector Akash of Amarpatan police station to arrest him. Surat Police was contacted and with their cooperation the team took Krishnanand Saket into custody. After his involvement became clear in the preliminary inquiry, he was brought to Amarpatan police station and detailed inquiry was conducted by the inspector and investigator in which it was found that the deceased had insulted the accused by assaulting him a few months ago over the transaction of mobile money, in order to take revenge. A resident of village Karhi, with the help of his female relative, called the deceased to the spot and killed him by beating him with sticks and sticks. So that the deceased could not be identified, his head was severed from the body by hitting him several times with a bataka and the head was taken away and buried in the soil of a nearby canal under construction. The money used in the incident was also hidden at some distance, which has been seized on the memorandum. Apart from this, the mobile phone and other belongings of the deceased were given to the girl resident of Karahi, by whom the other belongings were apparently destroyed. Upon interrogation, the said girl also revealed her role in the incident and her mobile phone was confiscated at the spot. In this case, Section 25 V Arms Act, 120 B, IPC. In this way, despite the accused fleeing almost 1,000 kilometers away after the incident, a remarkable success was achieved by arresting the accused in the case within 03 days, for which Superintendent of Police Maihar also rewarded the police officers/employees who did remarkable work in the investigation.
