Damoh, In the Self-Help Group Conference organized by the Regional Office of State Bank of India, Katni, a loan of Rs 8 crore was distributed to 200 groups of Damoh district. This program was organized in the Livelihood Mission Auditorium Batiagarh. The chief guest of the program was Deputy General Manager Ajitabh Parashar. Deputy General Manager Hareram Singh, Dharmanand Banai, District Project Officer Tinendra Ahirwar, Regional Manager Sunil Saxena, Chief Manager Anurag Hanag and Lead Bank Officer Narendra Soni, Branch Manager Jabera Mithilesh Chaudhary and Branch Manager Patera Ashish Jha were present.

In the program, stalls of their products were set up by the self-help groups, the chief guest inspected the stalls and talked to the women of the group and got information about the products and sales, as well as how the expenses and savings in the products made are sold. A large number of women participated on this occasion. The objective of the conference was to make women and self-help groups self-reliant by providing them financial assistance.

Chief guest Ajitabh Parashar said that this step will prove helpful in improving rural development and livelihood. Motivating the groups, he said that use this loan in productive work and achieve economic independence. Stay away from moneylenders and fraudsters, contact State Bank whenever needed. He said that you keep doing your work, you will definitely get the result, work hard, State Bank of India is with you.

In the program, the women of the self-help group expressed gratitude towards this support of the bank and the government and called it an important opportunity to promote their businesses. Lakshmi Bai of Sihwani Self Help Group said that my life has changed because of the Self Help Group. Today I am managing my family with hard work. My whole family is living a happy life. Women are becoming self-reliant through this women empowerment scheme of the government.
