Katni, Under the Vidhan Sabha elections, the police is taking strict action against those involved in drug smuggling, liquor smuggling and raw liquor manufacturing across the district. Superintendent of Police Abhijeet Ranjan has given strict instructions in this regard in all police station areas and posts in the district. In compliance with the instructions, the police have arrested 9 accused for manufacturing illegal raw liquor in Khirhani Gadahar of NKJ area. From whose possession a large quantity of raw liquor and Mahua in plastic gummas has been seized.

Gadahar infamous for manufacturing raw liquor

Gadahar, located inside the village from Khirhani Durga Chowk, has been infamous for the manufacture of raw liquor for a long time. NKJ police station in-charge Neeraj Dubey said that the police had reached Gadahar to take action against illegal liquor, where liquor was kept hidden in pits on the banks of the river and in the ground. The police raided and seized 83 liters of raw liquor and 1600 kg of Mahua Lahan, the estimated value of which is around Rs 88 thousand 700.

Police have arrested 9 accused involved in illegal liquor business from Khirhani Gadahar. Among the arrested accused, Rajesh Nishad, resident of Khirhani, Bharat Lal Nishad, resident of Badi Khirhani, Raja Nishad, Rakesh Nishad, Somnath Nishad, Jitendra Nishad, Deepak Nishad, Pratim Nishad, Sanjay Nishad have been arrested and action has been taken under the Excise Act.
