Shahdol, Government of India has started this scheme for the upliftment of 75 special backward tribes (PVTG) of the country. In this, (PVTG) families are being provided with all facilities like concrete house, nutritious food, clean water, electricity, good education, disease treatment, concrete road to village, communication connectivity and employment of these tribes is also being arranged. Along with Government of India, Madhya Pradesh government is also taking special measures for the overall welfare of three special backward tribes of the state, Baiga, Bharia and Saharia. Government is making rapid efforts to provide concrete house to all the families of these tribes and to light these houses with electricity. These four Baiga families have also got the benefit of PM Janman's 'Sabko Ghar' and 'Har Ghar Bijli' scheme.
Saw the dream of own house...
It is a tribal dominated district, especially Baiga tribe. Mrs. Ramrati Baiga, a resident of village Tetka of the district, used to live with her family in a kutcha house earlier. Due to poor financial condition, Ramrati Baiga had to work as a labourer to fulfill her needs. It was as if dreaming of owning a house was meaningless for a labourer family. PM Janman Yojana has fulfilled this dream of Ramrati and her family. Ramrati has now got a pucca house. Earlier Ramrati's family used to somehow survive in cold, heat and rain, but today they are all living a happy life. Their standard of living is also improving. They are also getting the benefit of many government schemes. The difficulties of a kutcha house have also gone away now.
Free from the worries of rain and cold...
The story of Munnibai Baiga of Gram Panchayat Masiyari is also similar. Earlier she used to live in a kutcha house. Water used to freeze from above every day during rains. It became impossible to live in winter. She had to face a lot of problems. Seeing the concrete houses of others, she used to wonder whether she would ever be able to live in her own concrete house in this life. But Jan-Man Awas Yojana has fulfilled Munnibai's dream of a concrete house. Munnibai's concrete house has been built under the scheme. Now she lives in this concrete house. She has got rid of all those problems of a mud house forever. Now she does not have to face the problems of rain and cold.
A new path, a new light....
Aitu Baiga, a resident of Bhamala village panchayat of Budhar, is also a beneficiary of the gift of a concrete house under this scheme. Aitu Baiga tells that earlier his family used to live in a mud hut-like house. In which he had to face a lot of problems. My concrete house has been built under PM Jan-Man and now I have started living happily in this house. Mrs. Sarojini Baiga, a resident of Banasukli village panchayat of Jaisinghnagar, has also got the benefit of a concrete house under PM Jan-Man Awas Yojana. Sarojini has now forgotten the kutcha house and its problems like a bad dream. Because PM Jan-Man Yojana has brought a new path, a new light in their lives.
