Shahdol, In view of the upcoming assembly elections and festivals, with the aim of maintaining law and order and conducting elections in a fear-free environment, police of zonal level Umaria, Shahdol and Anuppur districts jointly organized Balwa Drill Training at Shahdol Police Line.

To deal with the challenges of assembly elections and festivals, the zonal police team of Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur district was given practice of riot drill and riot control equipment at Shahdol Police Lines. In the rebellion drill which lasted for about two hours, all the police personnel were formed into separate teams to demonstrate the action taken against rebels during rebellion or riot. In this programme, Additional Director General of Police Shahdol Zone D.C. Sagar, Deputy Inspector General of Police Range Shahdol Ms. Savita Suhane, Superintendent of Police Shahdol Kumar Prateek, Superintendent of Police Umaria Nivedita Naidu, Superintendent of Police Anuppur Jitendra Singh Panwar were present.

In view of the assembly elections and festivals, this training was done to create a fear-free and strong environment in the society to deal with all kinds of challenges, loyal to their duty, in this mock drill, the police personnel were trained to disperse the crowd and carry out anti-riot activities. But it was explained how to control it.
