Land mafia: Nidhi and Subhash built illegal colony on 40 acres
Diversion, colonizer, no RERA, loss of revenue worth crores
CURATED BY – MOHMMAD MUNEER | CITYCHIEFNEWS
Shahdol, from the district to the rural areas, land mafias are busy robbing people of their hard earned money by showing false promises, by leveling agricultural land apart from the city and making roads by using rollers. According to the law, this kind of development work being done on agricultural land without license from Town and Country Planning, RERA and colonizer is completely illegal and unlawful and there is a heavy penalty for this. In fact, at present, the so-called land brokers and profiteers named Subhash and Nidhi have built illegal colonies on agricultural land and have also got it registered with the connivance of the tehsil. In the coming days, it cannot be denied that people living in such developed colonies will have to face various problems and people buying plots on this land may have to live a hellish life. The reason is that without ensuring compliance of rules and regulations, the Nagar Palika, the rural administration will not provide basic facilities here.
Let us tell you that land brokers have opened a racket of building colonies on agricultural land by deceiving people in the name of low prices, although the people who build plots and houses in illegal colonies in various areas are now facing the brunt of this. In the name of basic amenities, there is neither electricity nor roads and drains here. People have to wander even for drinking water.
Unnecessary disregard of rules...
The Government of India has implemented the Real Estate Law RERA to save people from the clutches of land mafia, but very few people are following this law in the city. Only half a dozen colonizers have registered with RERA, while 20 to 35 colonies in the city are illegal. To get a certificate from RERA, some so-called colonizers of Tanki Nala and nearby areas have even obtained certificates by declaring incomplete colonies as complete. If the district administration investigates, the irregularities may come to light.
Discussion of legal status to illegal colonies...
There are many such colonies in Shahdol including those around the new bus stand where people get plots in illegal colonies after falling into the trap of brokers and after building the house, they get surrounded by problems and then the struggle begins. To get legality from the Nagar Palika, a huge amount is deposited along with the rate per square feet and other charges, and only after getting the approval of the council, the house gets legality, only then there are chances of getting facilities there. The state government also issued a circular implementing simplicity for illegal colonies in which regularization has been mentioned but this process will also take time at present. Therefore, the public should remain aware.
There is proper stone quarry, and houses are being built...
So many illegal colonies have developed on Shahdol Pachgaon, Vicharpur, Kalyanpur Sindoori Road, yet I don't know why the responsible people are not paying any heed to it. The condition of one of these colonies is such that the land mafia sold the same plot to countless people. When there was a dispute, the land mafia left it and fled to Satna. A similar situation seems to be developing on this road again. A new colony has been built which does not meet any rules and regulations. To deceive people, the concerned person marked both sides in the name of the road and put stone quarry, fencing, lime powder in the middle and marked the plots. People are misled by the brokers and think that the illegal colony is developed and invest immediately.
Gupta Babu's role is suspicious
Anyway, the biggest problem in the case is that the revenue officers receive information about illegal development of a colony and for investigation, RI Patwaris have to go for spot inspection. The responsible persons complete the inspection but the relatives of the so-called Gupta brothers posted in the tehsil do not let the investigation be completed. That is why in such cases, on one hand the government is facing revenue loss and on the other hand, the hard earned money of the citizens is getting wasted in the false promises of the fake colonizer.
Virender, Rajesh brokers of land mafia
Due to the land purchase and sale division of Shahdol and surrounding areas and call minus, as well as bypass, agricultural land and non-diverted land is being sold by plotting it without colonizer RERA TNCP permission. In this, all the major places from Vicharpur Kalyanpur, Purani Basti, Bhui Bandh are marked and the Patwari RI informs the land mafia, if the deal is done then it is fine, otherwise it is in their nature to create complications. These two Ranga Billa teams have been making rounds in Shahdol for years for demarcation and map amendment. If this is the work of land mafia, then they do demarcation and map amendment with back date as per convenience. What is this if not land brokerage in government salary. Illegal marriage garden set up in 517...
In ward 38 of Shahdol Nagar Palika, Pawan Mishra and his family set up an illegal marriage garden without any permission and this is happening when all things have become online but a so-called vice-president of Shahdol is pocketing money from all the under-construction buildings in the name of invisible wages and also works to protect all these illegal constructions. Recently, in the hoarding case, the municipal body has suffered losses of crores due to the leniency shown by the responsible officers towards the hoarding businessman due to the so-called vice-president. However, in such a situation, people have started raising questions on the double standards made for the citizens.
Administrative response....
An attempt was made to know the reaction of the Collector Shahdol on his number 07587966300 but the call was not received.
