Flood water has filled many districts including Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Supaul and Saharsa. Water is being continuously released into the Kosi river from Nepal, due to which the Kosi, Gandak, Ganga, Bagmati and Kamla rivers are overflowing in Bihar. The districts around these rivers are bearing the curse of Kosi. Many villages in Saharsa and Supaul areas of Bihar have been submerged. People's houses have been submerged.

The Bihar government has issued a flood warning in the areas around Kosi, Gandak and Ganga rivers and guidelines have been issued. Water of Bagmati river has entered dozens of villages in Aurai and Katra areas of Muzaffarpur.
