The news is also coming out that Bima Bharti's husband will contest the election as an independent from here. Meanwhile, now JDU has announced the name of its candidate for this seat.

Actually, JDU has given its symbol to Kaladhar Mandal for the by-election on Rupauli assembly seat. Kaladhar Mandal, who left his job as a teacher and came into politics, stood as an independent for the first time in the 2020 assembly elections and got more than six thousand votes. Currently his wife is the Mukhiya. It is said that, recently Minister Leshi Singh also introduced Kaladhar Mandal to CM Nitish Kumar. After this, now his name has been finalized.

At the same time, the left party CPI, which is part of the Grand Alliance (India Alliance), has announced to contest the by-election from Rupauli assembly. CPI had also contested from here in the 2020 assembly elections, but JDU's Bima Bharti won. Rupauli seat has become vacant due to Bima Bharti leaving JDU and joining RJD and contesting the Lok Sabha elections. After this, now CPI has again staked its claim here. Let us tell you that the date of nomination for Rupauli by-election is from 14 June to 21 June. Scrutiny is on June 24 and the date of withdrawal of nomination is June 26. At the same time, voting i.e. by-election will be held on July 10, while counting of votes is to be done on July 13. The District Magistrate said that the total number of voters in Rupauli assembly is 313599, in which female voters are 151895 and male voters are 161688. The sex ratio here is 939.
