Indore, A big accident took place on Ram Navami in Indore. Kanya Pujan was going on after Havan at Shri Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal Temple in Patel Nagar near Sneh Nagar. During this, the roof of the stepwell caved in and more than 50 people present there fell into it. So far 36 people have died in the accident. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached Apple Hospital on Friday morning to know about the condition of the injured. Home Minister Narottam Mishra, Tulsi Silavat, Malini Laxman Singh Gaur also reached with him.

Negligence killed 36
The death of 36 people has been confirmed in the Beleshwar temple accident. Almost all the bodies have been removed. The body of a person who was said to be missing has also been recovered from the stepwell. In the rescue operation that lasted from 11:00 am to 6:00 am, the Army and the NDRF team with the help of the municipal staff took out the bodies of about 20 people from the stepwell. After getting information about the accident, about 140 Army and NDRF personnel had reached the spot in three different teams from Mhow and participated in the rescue operation. Around 13 more bodies were retrieved late on Thursday night. Earlier, 11 bodies were fished out. After the accident, there was an atmosphere of chaos at the spot. No one understood what happened suddenly. However, showing activism by the local people, 10 people were pulled out. Former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh also reached the spot on Thursday. He demanded an inquiry into the matter. At the same time, he said that how the slab was put on top of the stepwell in the temple, with whose permission it was put. There should be a fair investigation in the matter.

CM announced an aid amount of five lakh each
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced Rs 5 lakh for the dead and Rs 50,000 for the injured. At the same time, those who lost their lives in the accident from the PM Relief Fund will be given an assistance of two lakh rupees. The Chief Minister has ordered an inquiry into the accident. A case of culpable homicide has been registered against the president and secretary of the temple. Prime Minister Modi had also discussed with the Chief Minister about the accident, he expressed condolence over the accident. President Draupadi Murmu has also expressed condolence over the accident in Indore.

36 killed in the accident so far
Those who died in the accident include more than 15 women, more than 10 men and two children. One of these is a one and a half year old child, whose name is Hitansh. The injured have been sent to the nearby Apple Hospital for treatment. While the seriously injured have been admitted to MY Hospital. Indore Collector Ilaiyaraaja has spoken of registering cases under strictest sections and taking action against those responsible. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the incident. According to the collector, at present 16 people are admitted in the hospital. Two people have been discharged after treatment.

Death toll increased due to water
People told that the stepwell in which people had fallen was filled with water. People fell, debris fell from above. Because of this those who fell down died. The administration had to face a lot of trouble due to the presence of water during the relief and rescue work. First the water of the stepwell was emptied and then the people were evacuated.

Although two of them have died.

Stepwell is built inside the temple
The stepwell built inside the temple is about 60 feet deep, which was covered with a roof. At that time Havan was being performed in the temple and people were sitting on the stepwell. Suddenly the roof of the stepwell collapsed due to the increase in weight. People fell down before they could understand anything. Women, men, some children were among those who fell. Due to Ram Navami, the crowd in the temple was also more.

Chief Minister gave instructions for investigation
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed deep sorrow over the untimely death of persons due to the collapse of the old private stepwell in Indore. Chief Minister Chouhan said that this incident is unfortunate. Many civilians could not be saved after several attempts. Instructions have been given to investigate the incident. The government stands with the families of the victims. Chief Minister Chouhan said that a relief amount of five lakh rupees will be provided to the family members of those who died in the incident. Along with free treatment of the injured, an amount of 50 thousand per injured will be provided. From the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund, a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each has been announced for the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each for the injured.

In another tweet, Kamal Nath said that during the Havan in the temple, the news of the death of some people is coming out due to falling in the stepwell. CM Yogi expressed grief over the Indore accident

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi have also expressed grief over the accident. In the tweet, Rahul has written that the news of the accident during the festival at Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal Temple in Indore is very sad. I express my deepest condolences to the families of those who died in the incident. I hope for the speedy recovery of all the injured. At the same time, Priyanka wrote that there is an appeal to the Congress workers to help in all possible ways in the relief and rescue work.

Police used force to handle the crowd
