Shajapur, In line with the instructions of the Government of India, Jal Shakti Kendra was inaugurated today by District Panchayat President Mr. Hemraj Singh Sisodia and Collector Mr. Kishore Kanyal by cutting the ribbon in District Panchayat Shajapur. The main function of Jal Shakti Kendra is to increase the awareness among the general public about water conservation in the district.

On this occasion, District Panchayat President Mr. Sisodia said that more and more people should be made aware about water conservation. Mr. Sisodia instructed the concerned officers that whatever work should be done in a quality manner within the prescribed time limit. Along with this, he also gave instructions to work by preparing an action plan for water conservation and promotion.

On this occasion, Collector Kanyal said that Shajapur district is in the category of water deficient area in the state. He informed that the main objective of opening Jal Shakti Kendra is to create awareness among general public and all stakeholders about water conservation including rain water harvesting, re-use and recharge of borewell conservation. He informed that Jal Shakti Kendra would act as a knowledge center for dissemination of information related to water conservation techniques. He also urged the common people of the district to save rain water. On this occasion, information was also given about the Narmada-Kalisindh link project.

District Panchayat member Mr. Lokendra Singh Solanki Aroliya, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Santosh Tagore, Public Health Engineering Executive Engineer Mr. VS Chauhan and representatives of concerned officials and media were present on this occasion.
