Maihar, the matter is of Maihar district of Madhya Pradesh where many mines are being operated by the villagers and the Sarpanch in village Bathia since many years, due to which the stones below are broken by blasting, due to which all the villagers living near the mines have to face a lot of difficulties due to heavy blasting. Due to blasting, the houses of the villagers are getting damaged, and due to the dust coming out of the crusher flying all around in large quantities and due to the highly polluted environment, the life of the villagers is becoming very difficult. Abhimanyu Singh Maihar has already been operating three mines in village Bathia and Abhimanyu is trying hard to operate the fourth mine for his personal benefit by using all his might and tricks. Due to which there is a lot of anger among the villagers and the Sarpanch and it is being opposed completely. Collectively, they are demanding and appealing to the government administration that the mines should not be operated here anymore and it should be closed immediately. Describing the public hearing held in village Bathia as a political ploy of the mine owner Abhimanyu Singh, all the villagers and the Sarpanch said that we were not given any information or any kind of information related to the public hearing in advance. Still, respecting the rules of the government administration, the villagers and the Sarpanch clearly presented all their points and records before Deputy Collector Maihar Shailendra Singh and District Pollution Officer Satna JP Jha at the public hearing center and requested for in-depth investigation, justice and appropriate action that we have taken action through a written letter to the government to get appropriate action and in-depth investigation done regarding the mine. In which the decision order of the government to stop the mine operation in case all the necessary conditions related to the mine are not fulfilled is also available with us. They were again informed about the records received by Maihar Deputy Collector Shailendra Singh and District Satna Pollution Incharge JP Jha, who were present in the public hearing, and demanded appropriate action. In which Deputy Collector and District Pollution Officer JP Jha Satna assured in front of the media that all the points will be thoroughly considered and appropriate action will be taken after investigation. And the mine site was inspected on the spot and it was found that about 80 feet deep mines have been dug which are filled with water. These are the same mines where some poor helpless tribal children have died a painful death by drowning in water. Due to this reason, all the villagers, poor people and Sarpanch are strongly opposing the operation of the mine and there is a lot of anger among all the people.
Now it has to be seen that on the assurance given by the Maihar Collector and District Pollution Officer during the public hearing, whether the voice of the sorrow of the poor tribals of Bathia including the Sarpanch about the loss of their children and the voice or demand of life being suffocated due to the pollution of flying dust etc., do we get proper result and justice from the government administration? Will their demands be accepted or not?
Or the tricks being used by the mine operator Abhimanyu Singh are successful!
