Katni, A council meeting was organized in Katni, Municipal Corporation on Monday. Mayor Preeti Sanjeev Suri said that in the council meeting, in-principle approval was given to the road construction from Jagannath Chowk to Ghantaghar in the last council meeting itself. In the council meeting held on Monday, it was decided that after giving in-principle approval, financial powers should be given to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner. After which all the financial powers have been given to him. Now the road construction work will be done by the Municipal Corporation Commissioner. The mayor said that there are five big drains in the road from Jagannath Chowk to Ghantaghar. A permanent solution to the road problem will be found. Under which the road will be widened. Encroachments will be removed. The Municipal Corporation Commissioner was asked to get the road constructed as soon as possible. He said that laying a layer of asphalt will not be a permanent solution to the road problem. Heavy vehicles pass through the road, in such a situation the asphalt layer will get damaged. Then the same problem will come in front of the public. Therefore, the permanent solution to the road problem is to build a strong road after widening it. So that the public gets permanent facilities and the problem of water logging on the road during rainy days can be resolved.
