Damoh, in a meeting held today in the District Office Hall under the chairmanship of Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar regarding the tree plantation campaign, the Collector said that women and children should be included in this campaign, public representatives should be compulsorily invited in the plantation work, he also said that proper security arrangements should be made, the goal is not to ensure that the plants remain safe. CEO District Panchayat Arpit Verma was specially present in the meeting.

 

Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar said that a tree has to be planted in the name of mother, Honorable Prime Minister has called for a tree to be planted in the name of mother. He said that all these arrangements are being made, people should come and plant a tree in the name of mother in the memory of mother, information about the place will be provided.

On this occasion, CEO District Panchayat Arpit Verma said that during this time, the work of plantation has to be done by all the Janpad Panchayats along with seed ball. In the meeting, the district and the Nagar Palika were reviewed. Damoh Nagar Palika informed that during this period they have got a target of planting one lakh trees, similarly all the urban bodies have got a target of planting 15-15 thousand trees. Forest department officials informed that 08 lakh 21 thousand saplings are being planted by the forest department. Plantation is to be done in 52 centers, this plantation will be done throughout the month of July. CEO of Batiagarh Janpad Panchayat informed that their target is to plant 29800 saplings. Similarly, all the CEOs gave their information. Voluntary organizations present in the meeting also put forth their views, thoughts and suggestions.
