Katni, this action was taken in village Baranmohagwan under Khitauli outpost of Barhi police station area. According to the information received in this regard from Barhi police station in-charge Shailendra Singh Yadav, under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Abhijeet Kumar Ranjan, many actions were seen against ganja smuggling and sale in the past few days, but ganja cultivation has been caught for the first time. The police had received information about ganja cultivation in village Baranmohagwan through an informer. When the matter became serious, the entire matter was informed to Superintendent of Police Abhijeet Kumar Ranjan, after which, on the instructions of SP Shri Ranjan, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Santosh Deharia, Vijayraghavgarh SDOP KP Singh, to catch the cultivation of ganja, a joint team of Barhi and Khitauli police searched for the ganja farm and after a lot of hard work nabbed the accused cultivating ganja. The police also told that 63-year-old Sheetal Prasad Tiwari, a resident of Baranmahagwan, had planted ganja plants along with other crops in his field located near the Umrad river. A hut was also built in the field. Most of the ganja plants were planted around the hut. Last evening, when Barhi Khitauli police raided there, the accused tried to run away after seeing the police. He was caught by surrounding him. About half a hundred big ganja plants have been caught by the police from the field of accused Sheetal Prasad Tiwari. The police did not seize the ganja and destroyed it immediately there. About 4 kg 200 grams of ganja was recovered from the accused's field and action was taken against the accused under 8/20 NDPS Act. The market price of the ganja seized from the accused's field is said to be about 42 thousand rupees.
