Fire broke out at two places due to short circuit
Many houses including goods kept for the wedding burnt
Begusarai, Begusarai district has witnessed the havoc of fire along with the scorching heat. A dozen houses were burnt to ashes in a fire incident in Malhipur and Mahishwara villages. The first incident took place in Malhipur Chakia Bind Toli of Chakia police station area. Where a massive fire broke out on Thursday afternoon. Here 11 houses were burnt to ashes in this accident. Property worth more than Rs 25 to 30 lakh has been damaged due to the fire. After the incident, there was chaos in the area. People are accusing the electricity department of negligence.
The second incident took place in Mahishwara village of Naokothi police station area, where a house was completely burnt to ashes. The fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the fire. Fire in Malhipur due to high voltage
Local people of Malhipur told that in the afternoon everyone was busy in their work. Then a spark from the high voltage electricity wire fell on Valmiki Mahato's house. This spark caused a fire. In a few minutes the fire took such a terrible form that it engulfed the nearby houses as well. Before people could understand anything, the fire had spread to many houses. Local people started trying to control the fire. Also informed the fire brigade. But the fire brigade team arrived late. By then the villagers together stopped the fire from spreading. The fire brigade team that arrived later controlled the fire. But by then 11 houses were completely burnt.
Wheat and goods kept for marriage burnt
Five quintals of wheat of Ashok Mahato of Malhipur and all the household goods including Mukesh Mahato's TV were burnt. All the goods kept for daughter's marriage in Shankar Mahato's house, 30 grams of gold and five lakh rupees in cash were burnt. It is being told that 40 quintals of wheat, pulses, four lakh rupees in cash and 40 grams of gold along with other goods were burnt in the houses of Valmiki Mahato, Bantu Mahato, Dilip Mahato and Vipin Mahato. 20 quintals of wheat, 30 grams of gold, five lakh rupees in cash, three quintals of pulses and seven quintals of mustard along with other goods were burnt in the house of Doman Mahato. All the goods in the houses of Ramsakha Mahato, Sita Devi and Krishnanandan Mahato were also burnt to ashes.
