Damoh, Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar has imposed a fine of Rs 36,700 on 26 officers of 13 departments at the rate of Rs 100 per complaint for not resolving 367 complaints found unresolved in the month of May 2024 on the CM Helpline portal, as a result of not resolving the complaints within the time limit by L-1, L-2 officers and ignoring the instructions issued by senior offices.

He has said that the said fine amount should be deposited in the office of Public Service Management Department Damoh (Room No. 72 Collectorate) within 03 days and obtain the receipt of Red Cross Society or deposit it in the bank account of Red Cross Society Damoh and submit the receipt in this office. He has ordered that there should be no recurrence of complaints being left unresolved.

It is known that CM Helpline 181 is being operated by the State Government for qualitative and satisfactory redressal of complaints of citizens. L-1/L-2 officers have the main responsibility in resolving complaints received from citizens on CM Helpline 181 portal. Adequate training has also been given by the Public Service Management Department regarding qualitative and satisfactory redressal of complaints and instructions have also been issued from time to time. Even after the above training and instructions, complaints received on CM Helpline portal are found to be unresolved.
