Patna, the work of special revision of voter list going on from October 29 in 243 assembly constituencies of Bihar is in its final stage. Execution of application forms related to inclusion of name in the voter list, removal of name, removal of name error, change of address will be completed.

After removing all the claims and objections at the commission level, all parameters will be checked by January 1. After this, the final voter list will be published on January 6, 2025.

Voters were checked door to door

The voter list revision program was run in all the assembly constituencies of the state on January 1, 2025 as the basis. In this, the Booth Level Officer (BLO) went door to door and checked the voters. In this sequence, complete information related to the voters was taken. During this, the booths were also verified by the BLO.

The BLO was instructed to form one booth for 1500 voters. In this, it was ensured that the booth should be on the ground floor of the government building in any case. Information was also given about the correction in the voter list with the representatives of all the recognized political parties at the state level and district level.

All the mistakes were removed from the voter list

Also, an appeal was made to include the names of new eligible voters in the list. All types of errors were removed from the voter list before the draft publication.

According to the data of the draft list, the total number of voters in the state till October 29 was 7 crore 72 lakh 28 thousand 642. In this, the number of male voters was four crore four lakh 38 thousand while the number of female voters was three crore 67 lakh 88 thousand. The number of third gender voters was 2171. Now after the publication of the new list on January 6, the complete data of the voters of the state will come out afresh.
