Shahhol, the law and order of the city has become paralyzed due to which the security system has become weak. Despite the presence of a sharp officer like Additional Inspector General of Police D.C. Sagar at the headquarters, and a sensitive officer like Superintendent of Police Kumar Pratik, people have started feeling insecure due to the autocratic working style of the Kotwali police. The incidents of the last few days tell that the anti-social elements are carefree and the entire staff including the Kotwali city inspector is exhausted.
Case No. 1:- On 27 June last month, a woman businessman named Vrinda Pandey was going to her home late in the evening after closing her shop near the district hospital. At the same time, two youths came on a motorcycle and snatched the gold chain of the woman businessman and fled and she kept pleading for help. One week has passed and till now the police have not been able to trace the accused.
Case No. 2:- This evening, Basant Tiwari was going to his house on his Bullet motorcycle near the Shiv temple near the railway station. During that time, unknown assailants attacked him and snatched 10 thousand rupees and a gold chain from his pocket. After this, they also took away his Bullet which was later found abandoned near Kanna Bahra. The police have not been able to find the accused in this case till now.
Case No. 3:- On Thursday, Shahdol received continuous rain for about 7 hours. As a result, many houses in Singhpur Road got flooded like Pandav Nagar. Raj Thakur's house near the FCI godown got flooded. Due to which he asked to open the drain in front of Kamlesh Yadav's house. There was an argument between the two neighbors regarding this matter and Raj Thakur attacked Kamlesh with a knife.
Case No. 4:- On Thursday night at about 9 o'clock, a youth named Abhijeet Lariya was beaten up by two youths named Altab and Alam for blowing the horn loudly in front of Raghuraj School. Hundreds of people gathered to see the brutal beating at the busiest crossing of the city. About half a hundred people took the victim to the police station to file a report where people's anger continued till late night.
Case No. 5:- Theft in Kalyanpur in which the thieves looted the people by taking them hostage, today years have passed, neither the thief has been revealed nor the thief has been caught, not a penny has been recovered from the theft of lakhs of rupees while the thieves are visible in the CCTV and the police is mocking the action taken in the incident.
Case No. 6:- 7 months have passed since the attack on senior journalist Mohammad Munir, known for investigative news in the district, and the named complaint, but no one dares to question any of the 15-16 armed men psychologically, as if the fearless journalists were targeted at the behest of the police and the criminals are freely roaming around and committing crimes.
After this incident, the police did not wake up even after the news published twice and a case of molestation of a minor also came to light in Kalyanpur, similarly, a video of a named complaint was WhatsApped to the police in a drug sale case, but due to no action being taken, the crime increased, from this it can be clearly guessed how much the Shahdol police is friendly to the citizens.
