However, the Excise Department and the Police know everything about who is involved in the business of selling illegal liquor in which village. Despite this, action is taken not against them but against someone else who sells illegal liquor. On the other hand, almost every day, crimes are being registered under the Excise Act, police station-wise, due to which the figures of action are being completed in the police records, but in reality the purpose of stopping illegal liquor sale is not being accomplished. Liquor is being sold illegally by liquor contractors in 80% of the villages around Satna city. Liquor contractors send scooty and Bolero vehicles to deliver liquor to the houses of their special people. When someone wants liquor at a place, it is delivered there by some special local people. The situation in the villages is such that the villagers have to wander for miles in search of water but liquor lovers get liquor in the village itself without any effort. The liquor sellers operating in every village on a single license have completely polluted the environment of the villages and the shutter of the liquor shop remains open without any hindrance. The present liquor contractors have strengthened their roots and trapped the Excise Department in their clutches, due to which after getting money trapped in their net, they sit quietly and watch the show. The reason for this is that due to the Excise Department being lazy and inactive, now the new contractors have become successful in setting things up. Getting a hefty convenience fee

Crimes are increasing day by day due to alcohol in villages, in Satna many crimes or anti-social acts are committed under the influence of alcohol. By making alcohol easily available to every village, the liquor contractor is trapping the innocent villagers in the addiction of alcohol. There is hardly any village where liquor is not being sold illegally. It is not that the police is unaware of this business, but despite having all the information, it is ignoring this business in lieu of a hefty convenience fee.

Contractors have established roots

Following the footsteps of the old contractors, every facility is given to those running illegal liquor shops in every village to sell liquor. Although the excise and police know who is involved in illegal liquor sale in which village, despite this, action is not being taken against him but against someone else who sells it illegally. Police and excise have a proper list of illegal liquor shops from village to village on behalf of the shops. If anyone other than the contractor starts selling illegal liquor, action is taken against him by the police.

Illegal transportation happens without fear

Many contractors of the liquor company are transporting liquor to every village in jeeps in broad daylight in connivance with the police. On the other hand, illegal liquor collectors in the city are providing door-to-door service on bikes.

Alcohol is becoming the root of trouble

The atmosphere of towns and small villages is getting polluted due to illegal liquor sale in villages with the connivance of the police. Illegally sold liquor has become the root of trouble, fights and quarrels, while the drug business is increasing due to illegal liquor collectors. Liquor is available even at midnight
The shopkeepers are selling liquor in separate rooms after the time. Not only this, they are also openly saying that a part of the huge earnings of this illegal business is being sent to the officials. Liquor is easily available at midnight in many dhabas and hotels. Despite the time of sale being fixed, the rules are being flouted. This is the condition at the headquarters that implements the liquor policy across the state. The government is suffering revenue loss and the liquor mafia is also getting encouragement. Special rooms are made in hotels to serve liquor, it is served late at night. Late night liquor lovers are assured that there will be no police action.
