Taking major action in the money laundering case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal. According to the reports received so far, preparations are also being made to present Naresh Goyal before the court on Saturday. Goyal was called for questioning by the ED on Friday. After this the news of his arrest has come to light.

Allegation of manipulation of Rs 538 crore

If reports are to be believed, Naresh Goyal has been arrested in the Rs 538 crore fraud case involving Canara Bank. In this case, in the month of July this year, raids were also conducted at several places related to Naresh Goyal and Jet Airways. Goyal was questioned by the ED for several hours on Friday after which he was arrested. Even before this, the ED had issued summons to him twice for questioning. However, despite the summons being issued, Goyal did not appear before the ED on both the occasions.

Will appear in court tomorrow

Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal will be produced by the ED before the PMLA Court in Bombay tomorrow, Saturday. Explain that this case is based on the FIR registered by the CBI in the month of May this year. The FIR leveled allegations of cheating, criminal conspiracy and breach of trust against Goyal for causing loss to the bank. In this case, apart from Naresh Goyal, his wife Anita and some former officials of his company were also booked by the CBI.
