Satna, Collector Anurag Verma said that in the direction of empowerment of women, their economic empowerment is very important. Empowerment is being done through government schemes by forming groups of women through Rural and Urban Livelihood Mission in the district. Women should know their rights and move forward. He said that Aasra organization will work as a bridge between women self-help groups and government schemes. On Tuesday, Collector Mr. Verma was addressing the Shakti program organized by the organization in the Town Hall on the theme of prosperous village-prosperous Satna based on women empowerment. On this occasion, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Abhishek Gehlot, President of the organization Dr. Pankaj Shukla, Economic Advisor Dr. Ranjan Kumar were also present.
The Collector said that since historical times, women in our country have had an important and revered place in the society. She even had the right to choose her husband in the Swayamvar. Later, with the development of a male-dominated society, their rights diminished. The government is making efforts through many schemes for the empowerment of half the population and mother power. Remarkable work has been done in Livelihood Mission Rural in Satna district. He presented Shakti Samman 2024 to women for their remarkable contribution in various fields.
Commissioner Municipal Corporation Abhishek Gehlot said that women have been a source of power since ancient times. For the empowerment of women, it is necessary that they get equal platforms and they are allowed to move forward freely. There should be no unnecessary interference from any person. He said that every work should be done diligently and with quality. Any person becomes important and famous only because of his works. Position and prestige do not matter. He told the women self-groups that the government schemes are ready to help you financially. Continue the learning process.
President of the organization, Dr. Pankaj Shukla said that the organization has been working in various districts of Madhya Pradesh for the last 15 years. According to the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the contribution of mother power is very important in making a developed country. In developed countries, women's contribution to the country's economy is up to 40 percent. Which is 17 percent in India. There is a need for increase in this. He said that the organization will provide a platform for marketing the products of self-help groups in Satna district. Shakti Incubation Centers will be made at every block level. Similarly, apart from Shakti Digital mobile app and website, job work centers will also be established in every block. In the program, Collector Anurag Verma congratulated women entrepreneur Anjana Suri, designer Tanya Malhotra, Pushpa Saket of Tala in Livelihood Mission, Bank Sakhi Purnima of Sajjanpur, Bank Sakhi Sunita Chaudhary of Bagaha, Jyoti Singh of Gora and Savita Singh for manufacturing vermi compost. Awarded with Shakti Samman 2024. Pratishtha Samiti, Prerna Samiti and Jai Gurudev Social Welfare Organization were also awarded in the Urban Livelihood Mission.
