Shahdol, the reason for the gas leak in the Soda Caustic Unit Orient Paper Mill spreading to the residential area has been revealed. According to sources and information, the entire incident of the gas leak in the Soda Caustic Unit of Bargawan Amalai a few days ago has been revealed in the public place by the employees of the industry in their mutual conversations that as soon as the information about the gas leak was received by the personnel manager of the industry, GM Avinash Kumar Verma, the production manager of the industry was immediately asked to stop the operation of the industry and the engineer in-charge of the concerned department and the employees of the process department were immediately ordered to stop the gas leak. But due to the careless and stubborn attitude of the production manager, a small gas leak incident was deliberately blown out of proportion. Experts say that the production manager of the industry who retired four years ago is not fit as per the company rules and has completed 60 years of his job, due to which he will be considered an unfit employee as per the industry rules. But along with him, there are many other officers and employees who have been kept on the job in the industry despite retirement. In such a situation, what does the company management want to do and what is it trying to show? It seems that by keeping these retired employees and officers, they are expecting maximum work at low salary which can also become a problem for them and it did become so because despite the GM's order, the operation of the industry was not stopped immediately and the chlorine gas was given an opportunity to spread due to which the population living in the residential area outside got affected by the gas along with causing a stampede and the local people along with the administrative acid were also not untouched by this incident.
Who is the production manager?
A K Purohit, in-charge of a plant working in Soda Caustic Unit, who despite retirement is still working as Production Manager in the industry, as per the industrial rules, despite completion of 60 years of service, such workers and officers whose physical capacity has deteriorated should not be employed in the industry, however, such workers and officers have been employed by the industry in the name of saving. In such a situation, if any incident or accident takes place, then who will be responsible? According to reliable sources, it has also been found out that there are some employees and officers working in this industry who are addicted to intoxication after evening hours. They can be seen working in the industry after consuming alcohol and this truth can be confirmed only on the basis of medical examination during their work. And on the day of the gas leak incident, it has also been found out that the production manager was relaxing after consuming alcohol. On hearing about the gas leak incident, the order of the GM of the industry was also ignored in a hurry to save himself. The siren of the industry was also not sounded for half an hour after the gas was consumed and as soon as there was a stampede and panic among the people living there, the siren was sounded to save themselves from administrative action.
