In view of the severe cold in Patna district, all government schools, private schools, Anganwadi centers and play schools from class 1 to 8 have been ordered to be closed till January 18. Classes above class 8 have been instructed to operate from 9 am to 3:30 pm. Keeping in mind the extreme cold under section 163, Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh has banned the operation of classes up to class 8 in all government and private schools and Anganwadi centers in Patna district. Under the letter number 428 issued by the Collectorate, a copy of this order has been sent to the Education Department and all police station and sub-divisional officers.
