Muzaffarpur. A big negligence of the health department has come to light in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. On the basis of wrong ultrasound report, the doctor operated on the stomach of a girl, whereas there was no disease in the patient's stomach. After slitting the stomach, the doctor said sorry to the patient's family. The family complained about the matter to the civil surgeon. When the matter escalated, the DM and DDC of the district reached Sadar Hospital and took all the information about the case.

Appendix operation done on wrong report

According to the information, the appendix of a girl who came to Sadar Hospital for treatment of stomach ache was operated. After the operation, it was found that there was no appendix. When there was a delay in the operation, the family asked the reason, then surgeon Dr. Abdul Qadir told that the stomach operation was done for appendicitis but no appendicitis problem was found in the patient's stomach.

When the family asked the doctor that if there was no appendicitis, then why did he slit the stomach. On this, the doctor said that the operation was done on the basis of the ultrasound report. The girl remained in the operation theatre for one and a half hours and struggled. After this, she was shifted to the surgery ward. When the family got angry, the stomach was stitched and she was sent to the surgery ward. After this, the doctor came to see the girl.

The ultrasound report said that there was appendicitis

It is being told that when Prachi Kumari, a resident of Kanti Manpura, had pain in her stomach, her family took her to Sadar Hospital for treatment. The doctor said that there was appendicitis and suggested an ultrasound. Mother Sumitra told that she had come to the hospital with her daughter for the first time on October 28. Ultrasound was done in the radiology department of Sadar Hospital. Blood and other tests were also done before the operation. She had an appendicitis operation on Tuesday afternoon. After cutting the stomach, the doctor said that sorry appendicitis was not found.

The doctor who did the operation gave this clarification on the allegations

The surgeon who did the operation, Dr. Abdul Qadir, said that the girl had come to the hospital with a complaint of stomach pain. The appendix was found in the examination and ultrasound. The operation was done on the basis of the examination. He said that all protocols were followed in the operation. Seeing the matter getting worse, DM Subrata Kumar Sen, DDC Shrestha Anupam reached Sadar Hospital and also met the girl and her family.

DM ordered investigation

DM Subrata Kumar Sen said that it has been found that the appendix has been found in the ultrasound. It was not found during the surgery. On the basis of the report, the girl has been operated on the stomach. The civil surgeon has been ordered to form a team of three doctors and investigate. They have been ordered to submit the investigation report within 24 hours. After the report of the expert team of doctors comes, we will be able to tell something further. Civil surgeon Dr. Ajay Kumar said that a complaint of irregularities has been received in the appendix operation. It will be investigated at which level the negligence has been done. Further action will be taken after the investigation.
