Police has successfully investigated the murder of a missing person under Desari police station of Hajipur district. On 17th June, Desari police station received an application that on 29/5/23, Prabhat Kumar alias Nikhil Kumar, son of Surendra Singh, resident of village Majlispur, had gone missing and has not returned. In this regard, a case was registered in Desari police station. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Vaishali, a special team was formed. During the investigation by the formed team, it came to light that Prabhat Kumar, son of Surendra Singh, was having an affair with Geeta Devi, daughter of Khusrupur police station area.

In which both of them were seen in objectionable condition by the girl's mother and brother. Due to which, the girl's mother Geeta Devi and both the brothers and uncle killed both of them in anger and threw the body in the river Ganga. The police have arrested four accused involved in the entire incident. The arrested accused are Geeta Devi, wife of Lal Babu Rai, resident of Hardas Bigha village of Khusrupur police station area of ​​Patna district, son of Sandeep Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Brijeshwar Rai, son of Nagina Rai have been arrested.
