Damoh, Collector and District Election Officer Mayank Aggarwal has said that under the Assembly Elections 2023, all the voters in the constituencies of the district, who have been issued photo identity cards, should produce the photo identity card for identification at the polling station before voting. Collector Shri Aggarwal has told the voters of the district to submit these 12 alternative photo identity proof documents like Aadhar Card, MNREGA Job Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Indian Passport, Pension documents with photo, Central/State Government/PSU in case the voting is not EPIC. /Service Identity Card with photo issued to employees by Public Limited Companies, Passbook with photo issued by Bank/Post Office, Smart Card issued by RGI under National Population Register, Health Insurance Smart Card issued under the scheme of Ministry of Labour, MPs/MLAs/ Will be able to vote by showing any one of the official identity card issued to MLCs and the Unique Disability ID issued to the disabled by the Ministry of Social Justice, Government of India.
Non-resident Indian voters (NRI) need to show their original passport only for identification. If it is not possible to identify the voter due to non-match of photograph etc. of a voter in EPIC, then that voter will have to show any one of the above mentioned 12 alternative photo documents.
