Cyber security awareness training given to students at CM Rice School Lalbarra

Lalbarra, with the aim of creating awareness about cyber crimes, Balaghat Police is creating awareness among the general public through various events under the direction of Balaghat Superintendent of Police Mr. Nagendra Singh (IPS) and under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Balaghat Mr. Vijay Dawar and Additional Superintendent of Police Baihar Mr. Adarsh Kant Shukla (IPS) through various events organized under the police station area.
Under the cyber security awareness program, information was given on digital arrest, fake investment applications, Whatsapp hacking through APK files, avoiding sharing personal information online, creating strong passwords, staying away from unknown emails or messages, not clicking on any link given by unknown person, avoiding cashback/refund offers given by unknown person, fake calls, fake social media profiles, job scams and matrimonial websites, how pensioners can be cheated by taking banking related precautions, etc. and also told about the prevention from these and motivated to be as aware as possible.
In case of online fraud, information was also given about complaining on Helpline No. 1930 issued by Home Ministry, Cyber Portal of Home Ministry https://cybercrime.gov.in.
In the awareness program organized under Police Station Lalbarra, Police Station Incharge Lalbarra Uni. Sunil Chaturvedi, Cyber Cell's Prar. Shobhendra Dharwal, Mr. Chandni Shadilya, Mr. Megha Tiwari were present.
Appeal Avoid sharing sensitive information - Do not share your personal information, bank account details, and passwords with any unknown person. Safe Internet Use - Always use official and secure websites. Avoid sensitive transactions on public Wi-Fi.
Beware of phishing emails - Always make sure before opening any suspicious email or link that it is trustworthy.4. Be careful in phone calls and text messages - Avoid fraud attempts through unknown calls or messages.
