Cruelty to the poor, mercy to the mafia, havoc in heavy rain
Citizens allege that the municipality is getting the pond encroached
CURATED BY – MOHMMAD MUNEER | CITYCHIEFNEWS
The way the municipality staff kicked the stomachs of four poor shopkeepers in Shahdol proves that poverty and wealth will not become a hindrance in honest action, this is what a justice-loving administrator should do, but when a woman social worker in Shahdol has been making rounds of the municipality for the last one year only because land mafias have set up camp on the government property of Shahdol and have made property worth crores of rupees on the basis of fake documents, roads have been built without permission, transformers have been installed without permission, and there is no permission to build commercial complexes, despite this a land mafia is collecting rent of lakhs of rupees in the heart of the city and is not visible at all in the eyes of the responsible officers, the encroachment and occupation is seen only of the poor.
The double face of the municipality was seen in Shahdol, the district headquarters. Where the municipality ended the day by bulldozing only four shops situated in front of Rajendra Talkies, which is called the heart of the city. Whereas hundreds of such shops are still present in the city including the English liquor shop attached to it, where sheds are installed. But the municipality is not taking any action in this regard. People are very angry with this double standard action. The employees who came to take action to remove the shed encroachment said that action to remove the shed encroachment was taken only on four shops on the complaint of CM Helpline. Actually, the way the staff of the Municipal Council has targeted only four shops and demolished the sheds has raised questions on this action. But leniency was shown to the liquor shop adjacent to it.
Whatever the matter may be, but the action taken promptly by bulldozing only four shops on the complaint of Shahdol Municipality on CM Helpline is being discussed all over the city. Now it will be interesting to see whether the bulldozer of the municipality will run on hundreds of such shops in the city which still have sheds installed, or they will be given a free hand. Reaction......
I have been treated unfairly. In this heavy rain, only the sheds of their shops have been broken. Whereas the shops in the entire city have sheds. But no action is being taken against them.

On the basis of the complaint made in the CM helpline, action to remove the sheds of only four shops has been taken on the orders of the officials of the Municipal Corporation.

He is not aware of the action to remove the sheds. As far as the matter is concerned, action has been taken against only 4 shops. We will find out about it. But this drive to make the shops shed-free will continue.
