Headmaster and BEO also involved in collusion
Crores of rupees fraud was done in the name of operator recruitment in computer lab in government schools of Bihar. On the basis of fake letter of education department, applications were taken from unemployed people on a large scale in Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi and East Champaran districts and they were duped. Muzaffarpur Cyber police station police has made this disclosure in the charge sheet filed against two miscreants arrested from Patna in the case. In this case, now the officials of the education department are also on the radar of investigation. Cyber police station police is also investigating the collusion of headmasters and education officials of many schools in these districts.
Additional SHO of Muzaffarpur Cyber police station Janmejaya Kumar filed a charge sheet against both of them in the court on 25th September. According to this, police investigation has revealed that Surabhi Priya, resident of Choti Pahadi Ward 56 of Agamkuan police station of Patna and Mohammad, resident of Fakirbara Mohalla of Pirbahor police station. Nawaz Alam has done this fraud. Both of them had issued a fake letter to all the Block Education Extension Officers (BEO) with the fake signatures of the Additional Chief Secretary and Sitamarhi District Education Officer. It mentioned that the responsibility of installing and running ICT labs in schools was given to three different private agencies.
It mentioned that People's Service Point Patna was given the responsibility of installing ICT labs in secondary and middle schools of Supi, Belsand, Majorganj, Choraut and Parsauni blocks of Sitamarhi. On the basis of this fake letter, Supriya and Nawaz installed old computers in schools for computer labs, smart classes etc. under ICT in five blocks. 10 computers were to be installed in middle schools and 20 computers in secondary schools. But, by installing one or two old computers in schools, a fraud of recruitment in the name of operator and night guard etc. was carried out. Surbhi and Nawaz Alam, arrested from Patna on 27 July this year, have given shocking information in their confession. IO said that now the involvement of education department officials is being investigated in the case.
The fraud was going on since August 30 last year
Abhay Kumar, a resident of Jhapahan, is a teacher in Belsand, Sitamarhi. Surabhi and Nawaz had installed computers in his school too. When Abhay saw that the recruitment of operator was being done in the computer lab, he contacted Surabhi. She took four and a half lakh rupees and assured to appoint one of Abhay's close friends as operator. When time started passing after giving the money, Abhay investigated the reality in the department. It was found that the letter was fake and a fraud racket was going on in the name of recruitment on a large scale. After this, Abhay lodged an FIR in Muzaffarpur Cyber Police Station on June 23. Not only in Sitamarhi, Surabhi has also cheated dozens of people in Pakadiyal of East Champaran.
