Maihar, On the call of the state Congress, a state-wide Kisan Nyay Yatra has been organized. District Congress Maihar also took out a Nyay Yatra regarding the demands of the farmers. Hundreds of Congress workers from across the district rode on tractors. Congressmen participated in this rally with tractors, motorcycles and four-wheelers. This Kisan Nyay Yatra from Maihar bypass, fighting for the interests of farmers, raising slogans against the state government, passed through the middle of the city clock tower and from one end to the other. After that, while entering the boundary of the Collectorate premises, resistance arose between the Congress leaders and the police. The district police had barricaded the entire area. Using the powers given by the Constitution to protect democratic values, the Congressmen demanded the right price for the produce of the farmers and legal action against the indecent remarks made by the BJP leaders against Rahul Gandhi. All the Congress workers under the leadership of District President Gharmesh Ghai strongly opposed the resistance of the administration in this Nyay Yatra. The district administration did not allow the tractors to enter the Collector's premises, so all the workers marched the tractors on foot from outside the Collector's office. A large number of police force was also deployed on the spot. District Congress President Gharmesh Ghai, while addressing all the Congressmen present before giving a memorandum addressed to the Governor to the District Administration, said that the farmers will have to include the support price of Rs. 6000 for soybean crop, Rs. 3100 for paddy and Rs. 2700 for wheat. Apart from this, he strongly criticized the government on the issues of atrocities against women prevalent in the BJP rule, huge electricity bills, playing with the future of the youth, the right bank canal project lying incomplete in Maihar, the damaged bridge of Mahanadi for years, the dilapidated roads of Maihar city, illegal extortion by the police and corruption prevalent in the state. While addressing the farmers, the District President said that this journey is a fight for the rights of the farmers and they will have to be ready to go to any extent if they do not get justice for their rights. He also said that the Congress party stands with the farmers and the outline of this movement was decided to fulfill their demands. The government should do justice in the interests of the farmers, otherwise the fight will continue. On this occasion, Block Congress President Prabhat Dwivedi also gave his address in which Mr. Dwivedi said that this government, which is corrupt and does not care about democratic values, has no right to remain in power, which cannot do justice to the farmers.
