Minister Mrs. Uike reviewed the drinking water schemes of Agar Malwa, Rajgarh and Shajapur districts

Shajapur, Public Health Engineering Department Complete the works of Jal Jeevan Mission by March 2025. The above instructions were given by the Minister of Public Health Engineering Department of the state, Mrs. Sampatiya Uike, while reviewing the progress of drinking water schemes of Agar Malwa, Rajgarh and Shajapur districts in the meeting hall of Collector Office Shajapur today. On this occasion, District Panchayat Chairman Mr. Hemraj Singh Sisodia, Municipal Council Chairman Mr. Prem Jain, Madhya Pradesh Water Corporation Limited Managing Director Bhopal Mr. V.S. Chaudhary Kolsani (IAS), Dr. Ravi Pandey, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Santosh Tagore, Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue Ms. Manisha Vaskale, Executive Engineer Shajapur Mr. Vijay Singh Chauhan, General Manager Jal Nigam Rajgarh Mr. SK Jain, Mr. Hariom Gothi, Executive Engineers of Public Health Engineering Department of Agar Malwa and Rajgarh district and other officers of Jal Nigam were also present.
Minister Mrs. Sampatiya Uike reviewed the work being done for drinking water distribution in all three districts point-wise. She directed the Public Health Engineering Department to complete the incomplete works 100 percent by March 2025. She also praised the work done in Agar Malwa district. Minister Mrs. Uike directed that Jal Nigam should complete the works soon, so that drinking water is available to the general public. She said that as the works are completed, they should be inaugurated by local public representatives. Make arrangements to deliver drinking water by giving priority to the villages which have the most problem of drinking water. Also, she said that the work of laying drinking water pipeline in rural areas should be started last, first make arrangements for construction of tank and drinking water in the village and complete the work of repairing the roads dug for laying the pipeline on priority.
Minister Mrs. Uike said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has started an ambitious scheme to provide pure drinking water to the villagers at their homes. This work has been done for the first time in the country, due to which the villagers will get water at home. Minister Mrs. Uike said that the departmental officers should ensure that not a single house in the rural area is deprived of the benefits of drinking water, and work should be done to provide water to every house. In the meeting, Minister Mrs. Uike instructed that the connection of tap water in the houses should not be given by making a stand post on the road, but the pipeline should be taken to the courtyard of the beneficiary's house.
Minister Mrs. Uike said that just handing over the completed works is not enough, see whether the scheme is running properly or not. Also take feedback of the implementation of the scheme in the meetings of the Gram Sabha. Complete the works told by the public representatives on priority. If there is a shortage of sub-engineers in the Public Health Engineering Department, then the services of sub-engineers of Rural Mechanical Service Education Mission can be taken.
On this occasion, Managing Director Mr. Kolsani gave detailed information about the works going on in Shajapur, Rajgarh and Agar Malwa districts.
Inspection of the works of Chillar Project
Minister Mrs. Sampatiya Uike also inspected the intake well and water purification plant of the Chillar Project in progress under the Group Water Supply Scheme by Jal Nigam in Shajapur. During this, she instructed the officials to start the process of getting electricity connection along with the construction work.
