Collector Mr. Harshal Pancholi ordered to do better monitoring of canals under construction in the district

Anuppur, Collector Mr. Harshal Pancholi today reviewed the schemes and works being run under the Water Resources Department in the Narmada Auditorium of the Collectorate Office and told the officials that better monitoring of the canals under construction in the district should be done. Canals should be constructed with modern engineering methods, so that no problems have to be faced in the future. The collector also instructed the officials of the Water Resources Department that there are such canals in the district, whose water is not being used by the villagers, a listing of such canals should be done and sent to the Collector's office within a week, so that by making a new work plan, easy arrangement of water can be ensured to the people.
In the meeting, the collector obtained information from the officials regarding the reservoirs under construction. The officials informed that work is being done on eight reservoirs in the district namely Pipariya reservoir, Gohari diversion scheme, Damehdi reservoir scheme, Jhilmil reservoir scheme, Samrar reservoir scheme, Singapore diversion scheme, Bakan reservoir scheme and Sitapur lift irrigation complex, on which the collector directed the officials to complete all the works in a quality manner within the time limit.
Executive Engineer Water Resources Department Mr. K.P. Kadiyam, Sub-Divisional Officer Water Resources Department Mr. J.L. Nanda and A.K. Paraste along with other concerned officials of Water Resources Department were present in the meeting.
