Shajapur, Urban bodies should take immediate action to install CCTVs in view of the upcoming festivals. Collector Riju Bafna gave these instructions in the review meeting of deadline letters on Monday. Collector Bafna instructed the CMOs of urban bodies and the Chief Executive Officers of the Janpad Panchayats to prepare for the immersion of the idols by pre-determining the place at the end of the Navratri festival. Similarly, for the security of the pandals set up during the Navratri festival, get CCTV cameras installed through the organizers and keep an eye on them. In view of the festivals, Tehsildar and Patwari along with other officers should stay at the headquarters. The Collector said that the rains are coming to an end, so a large-scale campaign should be run to make sack bunds to stop the flowing water. Also, ensure that the gates of stop dams and other water structures are installed. Wherever the gates etc. have been damaged, take immediate action to stop the water and make sack bunds. In the review meeting of the deadline letters, the Collector took information from the Deputy Director of Agriculture about the damage caused to Kharif crops due to excessive rainfall and directed that wherever there is information about the damage to the crops, encourage the farmers to call the Krishi Rakshak Portal Helpline number 14447 for all questions and complaints related to the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme. The Collector said that efforts should be made for storage from now on so that there is no shortage of fertilizers in the district. The Collector directed to make necessary preparations for the purchase of soybean at the support price. Along with this, the Collector said that farmers should be encouraged to sell their crops only through the market. The Collector also reviewed the selected complaints from the complaints received under the Chief Minister Helpline and directed the departmental officers to resolve the complaints with satisfaction. The Collector directed the District Education Officer and District Transport Officer that no bus engaged in schools should be operated without fitness and police verification of drivers. Road construction agencies should start repairing their roads and clear the bushes on the roadside for visibility. On this occasion, the collector reviewed the referral status and treatment of patients in Shajapur and Shujalpur hospitals.
