Katni, Karva Choth festival, which comes once a year, was celebrated by women with great pomp and show. Wishing for the long life and unbroken good fortune of their husbands, women observed a fast on Karva Chauth throughout the day, performed puja and completed their fast by drinking water from the Karva from the hands of their husbands when the moon rises. Danced vigorously on this festival of love and dedication.

The puja was performed collectively by Punjabi women in Katni. More than 100 women performed the puja together. Before the puja, Punjabi women dressed up in beautiful clothes arrived for the puja. In the presence of Vidhi Vidhan Pandit, Punjabi women performed collective puja and prayed for the long life of their husbands.
