In the morning itself, Tejashwi Yadav targeted the Nitish government and tweeted that the girder of the under-construction bridge collapsed. The casting of the girder was done two days ago on 26 June.

Tejashwi took a dig at the government in the case of the bridge collapse and wrote on social media that "The bridge under construction for years on the Bhootahi river between Madhubani-Supaul collapsed. Did you find out? If not, why? If you try to find out, you will know." This is from Madhepur block of Madhubani district where the girder of the bridge being constructed on the Mahpatiya main road from Bheja Koshi Dam Chowk collapsed. There is no information of any casualty in this incident. People spread the news of the girder falling as a rumour that the bridge has collapsed. The pillar is standing as it is.
