Bijuri police solved the case of unknown blind murder in 12 hours
Adopted son turned out to be the killer, confessed the crime

Anuppur, it is as follows that on 30.09.24, the informant gave the information that the dead body of an unknown person was thrown in the bushes in Galaiyatola Bijuri, wrapped in a sheet and tied. On verification, it was confirmed that an 8-10 day old dead body of an unknown woman was found at the said place. On the information, a case was registered under section 194 BNSS and investigation was taken up. The dead body of the unknown woman was shown to the residents of the vicinity of the incident site. When information was sought about any person missing or not found in their houses, Munni Kol, a resident of the house located near the incident site, told that her elder sister Saroj Kol, husband late. Pradip Kol, aged 40 years, left her home on 19.09.24 at around 08:00 pm saying that she was going to Bilaspur and has not returned till date. The said woman and her husband Gendalal were made to identify the body of the unidentified woman, who revealed that the body found at the site of occurrence was that of the deceased Saroj Kol. From the Panchnama proceedings, site inspection and circumstances of recovery of the body, it was established that the deceased had been murdered and the evidence was hidden at the said place with the intention of hiding the evidence.
On finding the incident description to be of crime section 103(1), 238 BNS, the case was immediately registered and taken up for investigation. During investigation, the statements of her adopted son Rajkumar Kol, father Pradeep Kol, who saw the deceased for the last time, appeared suspicious. Also, the informer system told that the suspect Rajkumar has been trying to hire a pick-up for two-three days on the condition that he will himself drive the rented pick-up to Manendragarh, for which he is ready to pay any fare, which is against his financial condition. Due to which, when the suspect was interrogated psychologically, the accused Rajkumar, son of Pradeep Kol, age 18 years, resident of Galaiyatola Bijuri, told that his elder mother, deceased Saroj Kol, did not allow him to go anywhere, kept him at home, used to abuse and beat him. Even on the night of 17.09.24, he was not allowed to go to Ganesh Visarjan in the locality, so his friends in the locality made fun of him and said that he is Meheria, does he hide in the house, which the accused felt very bad about and he planned to murder his elder mother and in the intervening night of 17-18.09.24, at about At 02:30 when the deceased was sleeping, he killed her by making a fatal attack on the right side of her head. The axe used in the incident, blood soaked clothes of the deceased, bedsheet and blood soaked clothes of the accused have been seized. The accused is being arrested and sent to the honorable court.
It is worth mentioning that the accused Rajkumar is the real son of the deceased's younger sister Munni Bai, who was adopted by the deceased in childhood, since then he was living with the deceased. In his identity document, the name of the accused's father is Pradeep Kol, who is the husband of the deceased Saroj Kol.
