After Hockey and Sepaktakraw World Cup, Bihar is now going to host Khelo India Youth Games. The logo and mascot of this game, which will be held from May 4 to 15, will be unveiled today. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will unveil it at 6 pm at Gyan Bhavan in Patna. Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will attend as the chief guest. All preparations have been completed for this. Here, the Sports Department informed that under Khelo India Youth Games-2025, sports like hockey, boxing, weightlifting, kabaddi, table tennis, kho-kho, football and fencing are to be organized in different cities.

Sports complexes are being upgraded

Work is being done to upgrade the sports complexes of the state as per the standards regarding Khelo India Youth Games. Patna, Rajgir, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Begusarai will host it. For this, the building construction department is rapidly preparing the infrastructure of the sports grounds and the site to provide a favorable environment for the athletes. These include upgrading the sports complexes, renovation of VIP gallery, lighting, boundary ball construction, hostels, toilets etc. Necessary facilities are being developed.

Secretary of the Building Construction Department Kumar Ravi said that Khelo India Youth Games is a big event and the development of sports infrastructure is being done prominently by the department. Works are being done keeping in mind the facilities of sports and players. The work of upgrading the sports complexes of other cities including Rajgir Sports Complex, Pataliputra Sports Complex is being done rapidly and it is being continuously monitored from the regional and headquarters level. Weekly review meetings are being held.
It is being ensured that all the facilities are ready on time and the players can get a better environment. The Building Construction Department is fully committed to develop the sports complex as per the standard level for international and national events. He said that Khelo India Youth Games-2025 is a momentous occasion for Bihar, which will provide a platform to showcase the sporting talent of the state at the national level.
