Patna, Bihar government has implemented a new leave process for state employees. Under this new rule, now government officials will have to apply online for leave, so that the leave process can be made more transparent and smooth. The new system is going to be implemented from August 16. The General Administration Department has issued orders in this regard to all the District Magistrates. This rule will also apply to the police department.

Employees will now have to apply online for everything from leave to absence. According to the new rule, now employees will have to go to the portal and apply online to take leave. According to the order of the state government, online application will have to be made for the resolution of absenteeism, leave or any type of matter of employees. Decision will be taken on it only after the application.

According to the new system, a database of all employees is being prepared on the HRMS portal. The concerned department has been asked to complete this work before August 16. From August 16, 2024, the competent authority will approve the leave of state employees by receiving online application. From September 1, 2024, the absence statement will be provided by the establishment to the withdrawal and disbursement officer only on the basis of leave approved on the HRMS portal.

State employees earlier had to apply for leave on paper. Approval was taken from the competent officer. Different arrangements are working in different departments for casual leave. But, after August 16, online application will have to be made for all types of leave. Leave will not be given on WhatsApp or phone. There is confusion among the state employees about the new system.
