GRP TI Aruna Vahane and RPF TI Anil Dixit said that a special checking campaign was being conducted at Katni Junction, Katni South and Mudwara railway stations regarding the model code of conduct applicable for the Lok Sabha elections. During checking, people roaming around in suspicious condition are being interrogated by the joint team of GRP and RPF. During this time last night, two people were caught under suspicious circumstances and interrogated. During the interrogation of both, their bag and trolley bag were searched. In which cash was found. Under Section 102 in police station GRP, accused Hemnarayan Mishra, father Late Ram Sajeevan Mishra, 66 years old, resident of Chhaparwah Ward No. 34, Ranganath Nagar police station, against Oripio for not presenting any valid document regarding the cash and not giving any satisfactory answer during interrogation. Legal action was taken by seizing Rs 19 lakh from the possession of the second accused Durgesh Kumar Soni, father of late Ramkumar Soni, 45 years old, resident of village Hardua, Reethi Hall, Jalpa Ward police station, Kotwali, a total of Rs 52 lakh in cash from both of them, and took legal action.
