Damoh, The Electricity Department conducted an intensive checking campaign to stop electricity theft in the villages of the Rural Distribution Center under Damoh South Division. Under the direction of Executive Engineer Mr. M.L. Sahu, a team was formed under the leadership of Junior Engineer Ms. Sarita Rawat and raids were conducted in the areas of Gwari, Hinauti, Athai, Barpati etc. under the Rural Distribution Center. During this time, food was being cooked using heaters by stealing electricity illegally in many houses.
The team of the Electricity Department seized heaters running on stolen electricity from more than a dozen houses on the spot and prepared a case by preparing a Panchnama. During this time, many consumers started removing heaters from their houses.
Junior Engineer Ms. Giving information, Sarita Yadav said that due to sudden increase in complaints of unnecessary load increase, cable burning, transformer failure and DO falling etc. from all these villages, a special team was formed under the direction of the Executive Engineer and checking was done in these villages. When the spot was inspected to know the reality, electricity theft was revealed. In the houses where electricity theft was found, a case was registered under section 135 of electricity theft and seizure action was taken. This type of checking action will continue continuously.
During the checking, Junior Engineer Ms. Sarita Rawat, Pradeep Baishnav, Shyam Patel, Ramlakhan Kushwaha, Roshan Chaurasia, etc. were present.
