Maihar, today on 4th February, together with Maihar MLA Shrikant Chaturvedi, District President of Bharatiya Kisan Union Tikait, Thakur Prasad Singh, ex-serviceman, appealed to the honorable MLA to solve the various problems of the farmers and said that the farmers in Maihar have been affected by the cement companies for years. But till date nothing could be done nor resolved. District President Mr. Singh said that problems can be solved through peaceful talks. The company and administration are keeping silence! This shows that the companies have oppressed the farmers! Therefore, farmers should not have to come to the streets, cement companies should find a way! On the basis of election manifesto, farmers were asked to take Rs 3100 for paddy and Rs 2700 for wheat as support price, but now the farmer is feeling cheated! District President Shri Thakur Prasad Singh said that if the government does not have a budget for the farmers, the government should tell us. Farmers will help the government. When the government has a budget, fulfill the promise of payment to the farmers in that budget. Farmers will trust you! But the farmers' budget should not be weakened! Farmers' backs are broken, farmers are suffering! Farmers troubled by stray animals are unable to do farming and are being hit by inflation! Farmers' crops are getting ruined due to electricity bills and cuts and not replacing low voltage burnt transformers. Informed about the problems etc. MLA Shrikant Chaturvedi said that if you displease the entire public, we will destroy you brick by brick. He assured full cooperation.
