Katni, Bajrang Dal officials and workers gathered in front of the liquor shop located in Katni Kotwali police station area Ghantaghar and suddenly started protesting by raising slogans. During the protest, they first blocked the traffic on both sides in front of the shop and then raised slogans. Soon Bajrangis entered the liquor shop and closed the shutter of the shop and sat on a dharna on the road. During this, they also recited Hanuman Chalisa while sitting on the road.

Due to the protest of Bajrang Dal, there was a severe jam here. Kotwali police reached the spot and took charge, during this time SDM and Tehsildar also reached the spot and tried to convince the protesters. Bajrang Dal people were adamant on removing the shop from in front of Hanuman ji's temple and shifting it somewhere else. Later, the SDM assured action within a week, after which the protest ended. Here we must inform you that this shop at Ghantaghar has been operational for nearly two and half years. After half a session had passed, the sudden demonstration by the Bajrang Dal people became a topic of discussion.
